OPTICAL LIMITING PERFORMANCE OF ZnS NANOTUBE

Optical limiting (OL) performances of ZnS nanotube and ZnS nanoparticle in N, N dimethyllformaide (DMF) were comparatively investigated by using nanosecond laser pulses at 532 nm. Experimental results indicate that the shapes of ZnS nanomaterials have effect on their OL performances, and ZnS nanotube exhibits stronger OL performance than ZnS nanoparticle. The results were analyzed by use of the Maxwell-Garnett Effective Medium theory (MGT).
