Research on Polypoid and Apoptosis Induced by Heavy Metals in silkworm

摘要：

Since the third instar, silkworm were fed with heavy metal (Cd2+,Pb2+) solution of different concentrations to induce polyploid. The chromosomal numbers were detected to identify chromosome ploidy. The result showed that all the heavy metal (Cd2+, Pb2 +) solution of different concentrations could induce polypoid. Moreover, different from the silkworm fed with single heavy metal, no phenomenon of apoptosis was observed in silkworm fed with mixed heavy metals, which indicated the possibility of competitive locus hypothesis.
