Subjective and Objective Assessment and Analysis of the Handle of Fibriia-Style Fabric
Fibriia-style fabric is playing more and more important roles in garment fabric because of its traits such as rough appearance, cool and comfortable wearing sensation, natural handle and so on. Fibriia handle characteristics of garment fabrics can be modified by the kind of fibers, the structure of a yarn, the texture of a fabric and other aspects. According to the theory, 18 typical light weight fabrics with fibriia like handle were selected as specimens in this paper. The subjective, objective and physiological-psychological assessment was respectively applied to evaluate and analyze the handle characters of these fabrics and then the relationship between the subjective and objective testing results was investigated. The influences of material category, the structure of yarn and other factors to fabric handle were also explored.
