Group Decision Making of Fabric Hand and Its Intelligent Prediction

Fabric hand is commonly adopted for the assessment of fabric quality. Different people have different feeling on fabric hand even the preference of the experts who have been working for fifteen years are also different. The methodology of group decision making is successfully used in the complicated group decision making problems with multiple objectives. It can successfully transform nine subjective feeling scores of fabric hand got from twenty experts in textile and apparel industry into a single objective problem, the total hand value. The prediction model of fabric hand is built up with BP neural network, twenty-two mechanical properties obtained from FAST system are the input variable candidates, the output layer is the total hand value (THV) of fabrics, it is proved the precision of the prediction model is excellent and it is an efficiency way to predict fabric hand.
