Analysis of Melt Flow in the Melt-blown Die Using Computational Fluid Dynamics
Melt-blowing is one of the processes to produce nonwoven fabrics from polymers. The melt flow of polypropylene in the melt-blown die was analyzed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The power- low model was applied for the non-Newtonian fluid properties of the melt flow. We discussed the melt flow rate in the melt-blown die.
