Study on Automatic Body Measurement Based on Apparel Application-Analysis on Different Definitions of Shoulder measurement
This paper explains the relation between the specialization of body measurement and the demand for application, by describing different definitions of shoulder width and the applications of automatic body-measuring technology in our countrys apparel industry. In the research, a fixed amount of body data were collected and sorted according to the national standard of garment size. The emphasis of this paper is on studying the relation between linear and curvilineal measurement of shoulders, seeking a functional relationship between the two by using mathematical methods. The purpose of this paper is to do some fundamental work to support the specialization of the digitized body-measuring technology.
