Prediction of the Main Girths of Human Body Based on Photogrammetric Measurement
In the non-contact body measurement system, it is critical to obtain the body girths accurately. In this paper, the width, the whole thickness, the front segment thickness and the back segment thickness of cross-sections at chest, waist and hip were measured by photogrammetric measurement. The curve consisting of two-elliptic arcs was employed to model the waist girth based on the measured data, and the girths were obtained. The two stage least-squares regression equations were also used to calculate chest girth, waist girth as well as hip girth by using the measured data. The two methods were compared.
