Silk Trade between the Byzantine Empire and China during 6thC-10thC
Eastern Roman Empire was in its heyday from 6th-10th century; it was also a period during which Eastern Roman Empire had a close association with the Tang dynasty through the Silk Road. Based on the study of historical documents, this article offers a discuss on the rise of the trade between the Byzantine Empire and the East, and the development of its silk trade with China, and also a further discuss on the influence of the trade on the European and Asian politics.
