Investigations of Collagen Absorption and Desorption Properties of Polyamide 6/Polypropylene Flocking Nonwovens
In this study, polyamide 6 (PA6)/polypropylene (PP) flocking samples were prepared using varying lengths and finess of PA6 flocking fibers. The influence of the flocking density, length and finess of the PA6 flocking fibers on collagen absorbing and desorbing properties of PA6/PP flocking samples were systematically investigated. The optimized absorbing and desorbing properties of PA6/PP flocking samples were always found as the flocking density, length and finess of the PA6 fibers reached an optimum values, respectively. In order to clarify these interesting collagen absorbing and desorbing properties, the morphology of the PA6/PP flocking were also investigated. Possible mechanisms accounting for the interesting moisture management properties of PA6/PP flock samples are proposed.
