Interpretation and Environmental Education in Chinese Geoparks
The world is changing around us with increasing recreational access, developing ecotourism and conservation priorities. The Chinese Geoparks and Ministry of Land and resources add to these changes. The interpretation in China is just a beginning, but it develops very fast, especially in Chinese Geoparks. The interpretation there is growing and developing with practitioners continually being exposed to new technologies, new training courses and new techniques to achieve higher standards of excellence. Environmental Education in China began in 1973 when the First National Conference on the Environment was held and now it has been penetrated into the curricula of Primary and Middle schools in China. It is also in initial stage in Chinese Geoparks.
