Scientific Significance and Its Value of Mt Sanqingshan Geopark, China

摘要：

Mt Sanqingshan geopark holds 1 billion years of evolutional history of the Earth. There are abundant geological and natural heritages within the park and its surroundings. Of which, the heritages of global significance and important scientific values include remains of the Proterozoic plate collision, ophiolite melange, various types of granite, almost continuous stratigraphic records of 1 billion years, Nanhua glacial event, Ordovician graptolitic community and unsurpassed granite mountainous peak forest geomorphology, etc.
