Building Fangshan Geopark With Characteristics of Karst to Promote Economic Development of Capital
Beijing Fangshan Geopark strides across Fangshan District of Beijing, Laishui County and Laiyuan County of Hebei Province; 114°3648~116°08 16 E, and 39°0957~39°4308 N. The total area is 953.95km<2>, with its 130.80km length in east-west, and 75.09km width in south-north. The whole Geopark consists of 8 scenic areas: Zhoukoudian scenic, (Palaeo-anthro-pological Site of Peking man), Shi-hua Cave, Shidu, Baihuashan-Baicaopan, Yunjust-Shangfangshan, Shenglianshan, Yesanpo, and Baishishan.
