ASSESSMENT OF A GLOBAL RESISTANCE FACTOR FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS BY PARAMETRIC ANALYSIS
A procedure for the specification of a global resistance factor, based on probabilistic analysis of concrete members has been proposed recently. The global resistance factors is related to the coefficient of variation of the resistance of a cross section of the structure, on the basis of two hypotheses. The coefficient of variation of the resistances is estimated by a Monte Carlo simulation for fourteen uhimate conditions. A parametric analysis with respect to the reinforcement ratio is performed.
