COMPARISON BETWEEN ALGERIAN AND MOROCCAN EARTHQUAKE RESISTANT CODE

摘要：

During its history Algeria knew several important earthquakes which often caused material and human danmge considerably. Algeria in recent times has been hit by series of important earthquakes, which the last important one is the earthquake of boumerdes 2003, which left behind many dead and caused destruction of residential establishment. In order to analyze the main reasons that led to this destruction, we compared between the Algerian and Moroccan seismic design code in this paper. And we also discussed the revision of the Algerian Earthquake Resistant Regulations 99 (Algerian seismic design code).
