STUDIES ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF CAST IN-SITU FRAME STRUCTURE WITH CONSTRUCTION JOINTS
Based on the pseudo static test of two-bay, two- storied reinforced concrete frame with construction joints, the influences of the axial compression ratio and the treatment methods of construction joints on the seismic behavior of cast in-situ reinforced concrete frame are studied. Failure characteristics, bearing capacity, hysteretic curves, skeleton curves, displacement ductility, stiffness degradations, and residual deformation of members are analyzed and compared with monolithic cast frame. Test results show that the displacement ductility ratio of reinforced concrete frame with construction joints is about 11% lower than monolithic cast frame. And the relative deformation of reinforced concrete frame with construction joints is about 4.1%~5.1% greater than monolithic cast frame. If construction joints werent treated carefully, span of weakness is easy to form in concrete frame. While the effect of construction joints for bearing capacity and stiffness degradation of frames are indistinctive.
