RELIABILITY ANALYSIS ON ECCENTRICALLY LOADED REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS COVERED WITH CARBON FIBER SHEETS

The reinforced concrete rectangular columns wrapped with carbon fiber sheets under eccentric pressure are studied experimentally and theoretically. The ultimate bearing capacity of the columns are obtained, and the uhimate bearing capacity and reliability of the reinforced concrete columns covered with carbon fiber sheets are analyzed within the range of little eccentricity. It is shown that the increase of the ultimate bearing capacity and reliability is obvious with the help of carbon fiber sheets, and the increasing amplitude is larger if the eccentric distance is smaller.
