EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON BENDING BEHAVIOR OF PRE-STRESSED BEAMS WITH BENT-UP TENDONS

Four pre-stressed concrete beams by pre-tensioned method with bent-up tendons are tested. The losses of pre-stress, the stress of tendons and the stress of concrete are measured, and the bending behavior of such pre-stressed concrete beams is discussed and analyzed in detail. The formulas calculating the flexural capacity, the cracking resistance, and the deflection of pre-stressed concrete beams by pre- tensioned method with bent-up tendons ale suggested, and this may be as a reference for the applications of this newly pre-stressed beam in concrete engineering.
