STUDY ON CARBONIZATION DEPTH AND COVER THICKNESS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURE IN SHENZHEN DISTRICT
Based on plentiful data from practical project in civil engineering, the carbonization depth and cover thickness of plate, beam and column of reinforced concrete structure in Shenzhen District is analyzed in this paper. The variation rule of carbonization depth with time, under the condition of a typical climate of high average temperature and humidity in Southern China, is established by statistical theory. And the carbonization coefficient is studied further by related method. The statistic about cover thickness indicates that the most average thicknesses of practical project satisfy the design values, but some practical values are far away from that of the design. The number of cover thicknesses which is less than the corresponding design values accounts for 19.2% and 14.5%, for plate and beam respectively (The sample space is 2579 and 1806 respectively). Therefore, the interrelated control about concrete cover thickness in construction should be improved.
