PREDICTED METHOD OF FATIGUE LIVES OF RC STRUCTURES STRENGTHENED WITH CFL UNDER RANDOM LOAD
Investigation on fatigue lives of reinforced concrete (RC) structures strengthened with fiber laminate under random loads plays important roles in repair or strengthening of the bridge and assurance of the safe traffic. In this paper, the equivalent calculation method of the fatigue lives of RC structures strengthened with carbon fiber laminate under random loads was developed based on Miners fatigue damage cumulative theory. The probability distribution was obtained from statistic analysis of traffic load history, which was collected on a certain national highway in China. The parameter in Miners rule was determinate by S - N curve of the same structure under constant amplitude cyclic loads. This equivalent method can predict the fatigue life of RC structure under random loads through the fatigue properties under constant amplitude cyclic load.
