Biological applications of zeolite microspheres

摘要：

Hollow zeolite microspheres were successfully prepared by growing a thin zeolite shell on polymer beads. Ozone was used to remove the organic template as well as the polymer beads from the prepared sample. The low temperature treatment prevented defect formation and bioactive chemicals were successfully stored and released from the microspheres. Their use for studying cell signalling was demonstrated in this work.
