Nanospheres inside the zeolite membrane microchannels by shipin-bottle approach
Hollow silica nanospheres were successfully prepared within the zeolite-enclosed microchannels by a ship-in-a-bottle approach. The zeolite microchunnels were fabricated by selective etching of the silicon beneath the zeolite membrane to create the membraneenclosed microchannels. The nanospheres were then prepared in-situ using ferrocene as catalyst and the silicon substrate as the silica source.
