Comparison of Cu removal by Australian natural zeolite and fly ash

摘要：

Abstraction of Cu2+ ion from aqueous solution using natural zeolite and fly ash was investigated and compared. It is found that natural zeolite and fly ash as low cost adsorbents are effective for Cu2+ abstraction, exhibiting higher abstraction capacity than activated carbon. The dynamic abstraction follows the first-order kinetics and the abstraction isotherm can be represented by the Langmuir isotherm.
