The Application of DGPS in Underwater Objects Tracking and Positioning System

The purpose and application method of the DGPS in Underwater Object Tracking and Positioning System (UOTPS) is presented in this paper. The UOTPS, which has a wide application, can precisely measure ocean environment noise, track and position underwater objects, such as underwater robot and frogman, etc. This system works as followings: buoy subsystems with DGPS laid on ocean, receive and process acoustic signal of objects, then results are transmitted to base station by wireless communication, lastly objects information and DGPS information of buoy is gotten and transmitted to PC, PC will resolve the position and other important information.
