Effects of Angular Acceleration on Closed-loop IFOG Output

This paper modifies the formula which formulates the input output of the closed-loop Interferometer Fiber Optic Gyroscope (IFOG) by analyzing IFOG theory. This opinion, that the fluctuation of optical power can result in the IFOG output errors when the angular acceleration exists, is verified by simulation. The result indicates that the angular acceleration must be taken into account and the output errors must be compensated when the high-precision IFOG applied to violent motion conditions is developed.
