Successive Rotating Technique for a Ring Laser Gyro North-Finder
This paper discusses the successive rotating technique and its application to the laser gyro north-finder. Most of the low frequency part of random gyro drift errors is compensated and the north finder accuracy is improved compared with the conventional static measuring method. An analytical leveling technique is presented for the successive rotating ring laser gyro north-finder using an accelerometer by which the error caused by the base tilt is eliminated.
