The Study on the Similarity Measure in Case-Based Reasoning
The paper focuses on the similarity measure in case- based reasoning (CBR). In order to get a solution of a given problem, the solution of some problem which have been solved earlier must be used in CBR system. This solved problems called cases associated with qualitative and quantitative parameters called features or attributes and stored in the case base. The heart of a CBR system is the computation similarity between a new case and previous cases stored in the case base. The notion and basic characters of the similarity are presented, the relationship between the similarity measure and distance measure is discussed. At last, the various methods of similarity calculation are summarized in the paper.
