N-unit Piezoelectric Accelerometer for Acoustic Measurement
This article presents the basic structure and designing principle of an N-unit piezoelectric accelerometer. Based on the theory of mid-plane of mechanics of materials, utilizing the law of inertial accelerometer and using the cantilever structure and piezoelectric effect, the accelerometer is a small- size, light-weight, wide-band of frequency, and multi-axial piezoelectric accelerometer. It works very well for vector hydrophone in the low frequency band. The article also provides the result of measuring.
