Design and Development of a Multi-channel SONAR Signal Simulator
This paper studied the approach of developing sonar signal simulator by using DDS devices. Direct Digital Synthesizer uses advanced digital technique and can generate precise sine wave signal whose frequency and phase can be precisely controlled. By using DDS we developed a 48-Channel signal simulator for a 800KHz imaging sonar system, and its phase and frequency can be changed from a host easily, so it can suite many different situations.
