Extracting the Multipath Structure from the Experimental Data
The application of the well-known multipath TDE method-WRELAX in processing the bombing signal is discussed in the paper. The method is robust theoretically, but the distortion of the emitted signal makes the task of TDE very difficult, and the complexity of the multipath degrades the performance. In order to know the quality of this method, computer simulations are presented. The final results obtained on the South China Sea Experiment 2002 data set show that the method is basically feasible and could give a high accuracy if an appropriate transmitted signal is chosen.
