A Novel Hydrophone with Adjustable Sensitivity
A novel hydrophone with adjustable sensitivity is presented. It is composed of piezoelectric sensing element, metal bracket, inner preamplifier, rubble gasket, waterproof acoustic layer and output cable. Piezoelectric sensing element is made of a support and a PVDF film, which has been pasted inside the support wall. Under the acoustic pressure, the support deforms, which makes the film deform, and thus output the electric signal. The hydrophones sensitivity changing range is from-190 dB to -175dB, and frequency response range from 100 Hz to 16kHz. The hydrophone is simple in structure, easy manufacture and with adjustable sensitivity by adjusting its load resistance.
