Study on the Sonar Data Visualization

This paper discusses the visualization problems of underwater profiling sonar system. This system with six channels has high-speed sampling and imaging function. This makes it difficult to display in real- time under condition of heavy data quantity. In order to program for display six channel images, the concept of thread provided in VC++ is introduced and combines it with the required visual capability. This program meets the need of real-time display feature under condition that the waterfall and fan-form display exist at the same time. It saves the source of the system a lot, and improves the running efficiency.
