Study of the Collaborative Phase-Locked Synchronization and Adaptive Equalization Algorithm in High Speed Underwater Communications
This paper gives the algorithm and the simulation result of an adaptive equalization used in underwater communication system. In this system a phase locked loop (PLL) is applied and synchronized with an adaptive equalizer to minimize the inter-symbolic jitter. An adaptive equalizer with an embedded phase locked loop is used in the simulation. The simulation result shows that such an equalizer is effective in offsetting frequency shifting (the timing is assumed to have been roughly synchronized).
