Simulation Calculation and Test on Sound Absorbing Performances of a Wedge Absorber with Resonant Cavity
This paper has studied the sound absorbing performances of conical wedge absorber with resonant cavity, compared the sound field theories of variable cross-section tubes, put forward a method for calculation of sound absorption coefficient of absorber and carried out a computer simulation on the sound absorbing performances of wedge absorber. Based on the simulation results, it has designed two structural wedges, tested the absorbing performances of wedge and compared the simulation results. The research result shows that, compared with the normal absorbing wedge, the LF absorbing coefficient of absorbing wedge with cavity can be remarkably improved besides it maintains a good HF absorbing performance, and the change of cavity configuration can further improve the LF absorbing performances of wedge.
