Problem of Identifying the Responses of Multiple Signals Propagated Along Stationary Acoustic Paths in the Japan Sea
The experimental results of using multiple phase- manipulated signals for the variant of transmission acoustic tomography of sea medium dynamic processes are discussed. The authors developments of processing algorithms are applied to the data obtained during the joint Russian-Korean-American experiment JESAEX (The Japan/East Sea Acoustic Experiment). Acoustic sources of electromagnetic type were placed in the Japan Sea shelf zone not far from Gamov Peninsula on the POI FEB RAS acousto- hydrophysical polygon, and receiving systems-in Kito- Yamato Bank at distance of 380km, in the shelf terminator at 15-km distance and near the shore. The possibility of dependable marking the received signals and that of estimating the travel times of their components with the use of pressure detectors are demonstrated. To increase the number of informative parameters that characterize sound propagation in the paths, it is proposed to use the kinematic characteristic (phase and group velocity) of acoustic fields.
