Consideration for Promoting Modernization of Engineering Administration
A system consisting of development, design, and production in one company has shifted to a global labor-division system among companies throughout the whole manufacturing industry. However, it is humans who ultimately produce value, and the challenge is to discover how humans can achieve their potential. It is important to develop an environment in which people can work to their best ability and to establish a system for a fast and efficient value- creating cycle. The significant issues are the reuse of knowledge which is now computerized, and how it supports the creative work of designers. Problems and solutions related to the modernization of engineering administration are considered in this paper. Also, the convenient machines in our lives have become like black boxes, and we have become less interested in the mechanisms or principles of these machines. A system that cultivates the habit of enjoying intellectual curiosity, such as carefully observing subtle phenomena and wondering why they occur or how they can be applied, is required. Suggestions for a new style of education on design and drawing are summarized below.
