Development of Visual Literacy Courseware (2) -A Large Scale Test Run in 2006 at the University of Tokyo
At the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Tokyo, a new graphic science curriculum, the main part of which consists of Graphic Science Ⅰ and Graphic Science Ⅱ, was started. With Graphic Science Ⅱ, commercial graphic processing software was implemented. By introducing geometric problems as examples and assignments, it is designed to mutually complement with Graphic Science Ⅰ (descriptive geometry education). In 2006, in preparation for the full introduction of the course in 2007, a large scale test run was held with a total of about 500 students. The results of the test-run indicated that the course design is appropriate.
