Study on the Reverse Supply Chain of Electric and Electronic Products: Case in China

This study was designed to provide a description of reverse supply chain of e-product in China, to analyze the end-of-life management of e-product with a formal and informal way. The result of the study showed that the total quantity of employment involved in e-waste recycling and disposal was about 700,000. However, the statistic data of employment from formal enterprise only accounts for 16,000. A great mass of e-waste enters into an informal approach for recycling and disposal. In addition, e-waste import is one of the major supplies for informal recycling and disposal. Whereas, the formal companies involved e-waste issue are quite fewer, and short of suppliers.
