The Decolorization Investigation of the Dyeing Wastewater that Dealt with Combined Use of Guar Gum and PAC
A combined use of the guar gum (GRG) and polyaluminium chloride (PAC) was adopted to deal with the decolorization of the practical industrial dyeing wastewater and the stimulant wastewater that were prepared by three different water-solubility dyes. It was discovered that the combined use of the GRC and PAC could be superior to the sole usage of these two materials respectively. The optimum scope of the pH value to handle the dyeing wastewater was between 8-9 and the optimum settling time was between 4-6 hours. On the optimized condition, the decolorization rate, turbidity removing rate, COD-reduction rate of three different dyeing wastewaters could be achieved above 90%, 95%, 90%, respectively.
