Influence Factors to the Dissolution Ability of Cellulose in Sodium Hydrate/urea/thiourea Aqueous Solution
Sodium hydrate/urea/thiourea aqueous solution is an effective and green solvent of cellulose. In this article, the impact factors of this dissolving process will be discussed in detail. The pulp size and moisture, pre-treatment of pulp, feeding sequence, stir speed, stirring temperature and time affect the final dissolution remarkably, Polarized optical microscope and regeneration process were used to study how the cellulose solubility influenced by above factors. Moreover, a more effective dissolution method is proposed to get higher cellulose concentration.
