Thermal Pyrolysis Studies of Polyimide Derived from OPDA and BAPP
A new polyimide was synthesized from 3, 3, 4, 4 - oxydiphthalic dianhydride (OPDA) and 2, 2-bis (4- aminophenoxypheflyl) propane (BAPP) by two-step method in N, N-dimethylacetamide. The degradation kinetics of the high performance polymere was studied by dynamic TGA method. The thermal stability of the polyimide was elucidated using Coats-Redfern method and the degradation activation energy (Ea) of the polyimide was 167kJ/mol. The estimation on its thermal lifetime by dynamic TGA showed that the polymer possessed a good thermal stability and it could be applied for one month at 350℃ in nitrogen environment.
