Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Monomer for the Polymeric Solid-Solid Phase Change Material of MPEG
In this paper, a novel monomer with two high reaction active hydrogen groups for the polymeric solid-solid phase change material of polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether was synthesized via the modification of hydrogen group of polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether. The composition, structure and properties of the novel monomer were characterized through the IR spectra, HNMR spectra, DSC and TGA curves. The results show that the novel monomer has not only excellent phase change properties, but also can be further prepared polymeric solid-solid phase change material with the two hydrogen groups via step- polymerization reaction.
