Synthesis and Characterization of Poly B-tri (methylamino) borazine
Many precursor polymers were designed and synthesized to prepare the boron nitride (BN) ceramic fiber or composite materials. Unfortunately most of them are poor processing ability for too high cross-linked structure or too low molecular weight. Here we prepared a precursor polymer poly B-tri (methylamino) borazine (PMAB) which showed favorable melt properties for fiber spinning. The monomer, B- tri (methylamino) borazine (MAB), was prepared by reaction of methylamine with B-tri (chloro) borazine (TCB) at -80℃, and the B-tri (chloro) borazine were synthesized by reaction of solid ammonium chloride and boron trichloride gas at elevated temperatures.
