A Novel Soft Material Simulated Skin Used in Thermal Manikin
Polymer as a soft material is widely used in medical field, such as simulating human tissues and organs. But in functional clothes research field, lots of hard materials, such as copper or aluminum, were used to simulate human skin in thermal manikin. These hard materials are much different from real body and can not be used to evaluate functional materials properties accurately. In this study, many kinds of soft materials were selected to be simulated skin used in thermal manikin. Based on experiments, including tensile test, compression test, DSC test and thermal transmissibility test, the synthetic performance of these materials were achieved, and by means of fuzzy mathematics theory the optimum soft material was selected. This novel soft material simulated skin could greatly improve the stability and precision of manikin, from which good results was gotton in the experiments.
