Nacre-like Layer Structure Formed through a Simple Pressure-induced Flow Field
Many researches have attempted to design composites using a variety of engineering methods with nacre- like layer structure. It is a difficult task in considering the assembly of a bulk structure. In this paper, the nacre-like layer structure in PLA/PEG blends was formed through a simple pressure-induced flow field. A series of testing methods was applied, impact, bending, SEM and DSC included. The result shows that the thickness of layer structure decreases with the increase of pressure.
