Preparation of PAN/Acyclovir Drug Hollow Fiber with Internal Quench Medium Method

In this article PAN/acyclovir drug hollow fiber was prepared with internal quench medium method. The internal quench medium supported the inner wall of hollow fiber in the coagulation bath, and internal quench medium was the inner coagulant in the spinning of hollow fiber. In this research acyclovir solution was used as internal quench medium to add acyclovir into the hollow fiber. The content of acyclovir was about 0.51％ (wt/wt) in prepared drug hollow fiber. In vitro dissolution studies displayed that 97.76％ of ACV was released from the drug hollow fiber within 72 hours.
