Removal of Lead (Ⅱ) by Adsorption onto Bacterial Cellulose
In this paper, removing of lead (Ⅱ) using bacterial cellulose synthesized by acetobacter xylium from aqueous solutions was investigated. The effects of performance parameters such as pH, adsorption time, mass concentration of adsorbent and mass concentration of metal ions were analyzed. The optimum pH for lead (Ⅱ) adsorption was found at 3.6 for bacterial cellulose. The results show that the adsorption rate could be well fitted by pseudo- second-order rate model, the adsorption isothem could be well described by the Langmuir model and the saturation adsorption capacity is 125.79mg/g.
