Microstructure Studies of Down Fiber Assemblies
Down assemblies are used widely to the insulated textile product especially to the insulated winter outerwear. Because the using of down neednt any chemical treatment and wont bring any population to environment, for which the down assembly usually is considered as the green and environment kindly material. So it is very necessarily to the structure exploitation of down and down assembly. The microstructures of down assembly affect the thermal insulation greatly. The subsistent researches to the down fiber assemblies are very limited. This work presents a unified treatment using tool of Micro CT to observe the fiber assemblies microstructure and discusses the geometric complexity of the relative fibers arrangement in the down fiber assembly.
