Study on the Phase-change Properties of PBT-PEG Copolymers
Phase-Change Material is the material with heat- storage and temperature adjust by absorbing and releasing heat during phase change process. In this research, Polyethylene glycol (PEG) was selected as phase-change medium and a series of PBT-PEG block copolymers were synthesized by ester interchange and polycondensation. These functional copolymers phase- change characteristics came from the transfer between the amorphous and crystal states of the PEG and Their phase change occurred in different temperature area under room temperature (DSC). The phase-change characteristics of PBT-PEG block copolymers can be controlled by changing the molecular weight of PEG and the ratio of PEG/ DMT.
