Anti-Bacterial Research on Bamboo Viscose Fabric
Parallel bacterial experiments were conducted with bamboo viscose jersey and common wood viscose jersey. Two kinds of bacteria, colon bacillus and golden staphylococcus, were used. After bacteria cultivation and calculation on the selected fabrics, it was found that the samples of bamboo viscose fabric have an obvious anti-bacterial effect compared with the common viscose fabric. Therefore, the bamboo fibers natural anti-bacterial capability was confirmed. The reason for bamboo fibers anti-bacteria lies in its highly hollow structure, which can absorb and evaporate moisture. The microorganism is difficult to live in this kind of dry circumstance which makes the bamboo fibre pocesses antibacterial ability in nature.
