Practical Research on Manufacturing Execution Systems for Electronic Parts Industry

According to rapid changes of electronic parts market demands and pressures of fierce competition requirement, we have explored a new production enterprise management approach based on manufacture execution system (MES) rationale and enterprises actual demand. The system has been adopted a three- tiered web-based systematic framework, used Web service, XML technology, B/S structure as well as Microsoft NET framework, which can connect to automation equipment and management platform ,thus achieving seamless data connection and information sharing to realize system inquiry time not longer than one second;Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) actualized quality control of work-in-process (WIP), statistics analysis, production scheduling and maintenance of equipment and instruments, resource distribute ,process management, maintain management, output track ,capability analysis and data collection. It forms integrity information integrated manufacturing systems. It can also reduce costs and increase enterprises ability to meet the ever changing market demands. This proposed systematic approach is expected to provide an effective way to the design of MES. Case studies show that enterprises installed MES systems have greatly improved their production.
